hey former joe

i picked up the linksys router tonight at staples, along with a couple straight-through cat5 cables. it sure looks like fun. i'll be doing my usual reading up on things for awhile before i start disabling firewalls and doing the network install. gotta install the nic in the win95 machine first, too.

lots of good documentation came with the router, and there's free 24-7 tech support on an 800 number. the linksys web site has all kinds of great pics and tutorials and faq's. plus i got a hardcopy manual. no cd-rom disk, though, which i thought i read you said that you received.

i've got a feeling this is gonna be fun. plus there are more than a few others here on the thread who have this set up. what a resource this thread can be, huh?

:)
