"However, Polaroid is also behind in digital because of its reliance on SmartMedia,
and therefore on a market aimed primarily at low end digital users."

I am not sure I follow your line of reasoning, Art.

The Polaroid statement IMO relates mainly to the instant film business, not digital

I think the implication of the polaroid statement about the drop being due to digital, is that digital is starting to eat Polaroid's lunch. Makes sense to me, a lot of the reasons people want an instant polaroid photo for, can now be replaced by digital, and with much more flexibility, and possibly even lower cost.

Any guesses as to when SanDisk will warn about Q2?

I say Monday, June 18, 2001 after the market close.
