Paul,

My guess is early 2002 - ServerWorks seems to have hit the same RUT as AMD - they had one or two good quick successes, and every thing new has been delayed by 6 - 12 months.

That leaves the door open for AMD for 6 months. Wasn't there supposed to be an Intel based chipset - 870? that would support both Itanium and Xeon, DDR and SDR?

I guess it's a question for Tenchusatsu.

Anyway, I don't think the Rambus based product is going to get very far in server space.
