Yes, I saw gs's explanation

I'm not sure I agree with the steps involved:
inferring that Jefferson would be upset that slavery has ended disparages everything he worked for
Well, I'd disagree. It disparages his views on slavery (fairly? can we judge by his actions?).

It's rather a leap to go from disapproving of Jefferson's use of female slaves for sexual relief to asserting that anyone defending the Constitution is racist. Not so much a stretch as a cosmic-scale rack. (And I'm still not sure where the Hitler Youth come in, especially as they were also racists).

I don't think I'll bother further, however... I'll leave it for specialists.

Good job Win, I'm impressed. Stretch smetch. gs obviously admires Jefferson and has him on a high petistal. Me too. gs didn't see it coming, but Win did a pretty good job of setting him up, by holding Jefferson up in the light of todays issues instead of the light of day in which he actually lived. Then Win just took a back seat while gs struggled in this disorienting muck. Win didn't really have a solid issue with Jefferson. He's doing lots of back peddling while gs tries to pin something on him. Frustrating and sly, very sly on Win's part.
