HD is somewhat "mature" in its US expansion, whereas LOW is not (hence LOW has been able to keep up revenue growth, whereas HD has not) ... the biz's margins are going to get trashed methinks as demand falls. Should be more sensitive to a slowdown than housing itself is my thought ... Shorted HD for a scalp already, but not sure what to do -- may get some puts on LOW ... Some of the items that are sold at LOW and HD can be had considerably cheaper at Walmart -- though the overlap is not great -- and some specialty materials supplier can undercut them, too
