today, there is so much worry about the markets being suspect, and I take that as positive

The "worry" sentiment indicator does work much of the time, but certainly not all of the time. History proves that the market also moves through periods of worry into abject terror and when this happens the recovery is verrrry sloooow.

Hi GZ,

With all due respect, I believe your assessment that speculation is dead is incorrect. Without boring you with all the numbers, I believe you can see from the recent rallies that old habits die hard. That being said, I think we have started a new trend down over the last couple of weeks on the S&P. BWDIK I've been wrong before, don't I know that:)OUCH!

These are just a few of the reasons I'm bullish right now.....

I've always been a contrarian believer, thanks for your comments GZ.

I should have gotten out when as soon as the NAZ topped 5000, every market "expert" quoted on CNBC said next stop was 6000 like it was a sure thing. I don't recall a single dissenter.

GZ - I find myself caught between a rock and a hardplace among 2 people whom I greatly respect - you and Bill H - which places me long term neutral on the market. In the short run - between now and halloween I am becoming bearish as a result of traditional seasonal weakness and insider buying indicator which is decidedly bearish. I am not aware of sustained long term rally that has begun when insiders were bearish. Info on insider trends is available at insidertrader.com. Comments welcome.
