Don't forget NT is listed in NYSE, too.

No, I don't think so this NT stock has something to do with Canadian monetary or fiscal policy.

It tends to rely greatly upon the Sector and US economy.

Having said that, this sector despite there are so many bad news around, the worst like Friday's NT and JDSU news, are nearly over, and the prices have discounted all the worst, so Friday's NT prices @13's is the bottom.

You know last March when Dow hit 9106, all the financial magazines and finial reports just like yesterday finaicial reports regarding NT's worst news, TIME magazine even published a big BEAR picture in its cover page, Dow bottomed out right at 9106, now Dow 10650 as Friday closed.

Exactly similarly, Friday all the finacial guru stressed and financial reporters emphasized how worst is this NT stock, NT has bottomed right at this @13's.

There is no question about it, the candle chart issued the best ever buy signal as FRiday key reversal day, indicated indeed NT was bottomed.

From here there is only one way for NT stock, and that is UP and UP, and Up. Market discounted everything, everything known, in every circumstances.

Those world analysts are 6-9 months behind, they are not real time in term of appraising the value of this NT stock.

Those finacial reporters are also 6-9 months befind, they are not real time, either.

BESIDES, THOSE WORLD ANALYSTS AND FINANCIAL REPORTERS, THEIR WRITINGS ARE FOR YOU TO READ TO ENTERTAIN, BUT NOT FOR YOU TO TRADE AND MAKE MONEY AS THEY ARE WAY TOO MUCH TIME BEHIND, THEY DID NOT SEE THE FUTURE BUT ONLY REPORT THE PAST--HISTORY, YOU SEE.

Furthermore, as soon as that TRIPLE WITCH HOURS passed US market has started this so called "SUMMER RALLY"./ It is real and it will last until Labor Day.

John Paquet

In addition, those world analysts and financial reporters are not market traders, their ability to see the future is zero, they CAN NOT AND WILL NOT make ANY money in the market places, only earn wages for their writtings.

They must be doing something right. Have you checked the trade imbalance with Canada lately. Seems Americans are more than willing to trade green backs for Canadian goods.

BTW they are called provinces in case that wasn't a spelling error.I think there is a lot you do not know about Canada, a trip to the library might be in order?

Do not trust your money with losers during these hard times. Get every dime you have out of Canada.

What and put it in the Nasdaq where it will be safe honest and secure? :)

Frank

You should probably try a "Bash Canada" thread for that post.

Or some thread that is slightly more antagonistic. There are plenty out there in these silly times.

Not That Your Ill Informed And Inflamatory Post Deserves....

An explanation....I will interrupt our regularly scheduled programming on this thread to offer one during closed trading hours.......

Advanced thanks to the Chief for allowing this brief interlude.....

1.What has Canada done with its interest rates. Last I heard they only cut half as much.

A: They have cut less because the Canadian economy has not shown the same deep impact of recession as the American one.
This ..of course... is relative.Canada is an export economy of goods and commodoties, and therefore must compete head on with many third world countries, thus the lobby for a weaker dollar is strong from the exporters who employ many people here. Also, inflation is on the radar screens , so that has an impediment towards lowering rates.

2. They are terrified that the toilet paper called the Canadian dollar will become worthless.

A: You wish!

3.THe US dollar however has gained strength despite the cuts.

A: At least 10 - 20 % of the American dollar's strength can be attributed to the uncertainty with the Euro , since the actual currency is not set to be in full circulation till Jan 1 of next year. This attracts Euro money to the " safe haven " known as the green Back.Another 10 - 20% can be attributed to the weak Japanese economy and a banking system that just can't seem to shoot straight.Another 10 - 20 % can be attribuated to the " valuation of strength " factor, or otherwise known as " the GUN buck ".

3.What is Canada's unemployment rate? I heard on average over 7%. In some providences it is over 15%.

A: And in some provinces it is at 4%.7 % for this country is still considered acceptable , and even laudable by some.
There are many reasons for this too complex to bore you with here.

4.What is Canada's dollar worth?

A: Compared to what? The Aussie dollar..the Pound?...the yen?..oh I forgot....you probably were refering to the only currency you have ever held...right?

5:Your focus on Americans providing the answers for the failed Canadian economy is proof that you realize Canadians are inferior and incapable of helping themselves.

A: The canadian economy is closely tied to the American economy due to the two countries having THE LARGEST TRADING ARRANGEMENT in the world. However , since canada's population is only close to that of californication <g>, the perception of it's size and determination as a country is diluted due to it's sparce population. This small population in such a large country is costly for infrastructure, not to mention it's climate due to it's Northern position.

6.Do not trust your money with losers during these hard times. Get every dime you have out of Canada.

A: This is in contradiction to the present and likely forward looking prospects of continued high energy costs, and in full contradiction to the increased inflows of American money to the energy sector. In fact , the Canadian dollar may be at its lowest you will see for some time to come given the reasons I've explained above. What is interesting is how the Canadian and Ossie dollars trade with the price of Gold, yet OZ, and more so Canada , have gold production in decline as a percentage of the GDP for some years now.

You see Flint , the canadian dollar , and by valuation , Canadian companies ,especially energy ones , are undervalued on average of 15 - 20 %.

So now I ask you Sir :

WHAT IS AMERICA'S DOLLAR WORTH ?
