Just a follow-up to the pump-and-dumper there from Voyagers_Stocktips. One day later the stock is down 20%... typical (ACTR 6.25 down 1.1 today on 311,000 shares). This is very typical of these "tipsters" that come in and offer you unsolicited stock advise on small caps. They are on the one hand posting desperately on message boards and making their boilerroom calls to the elderly/unsuspecting to hype their stock up (create buying pressure from those they've duped), while on the other hand their backroom operations are unloading like madmen. A lot of these operations are funded and run by organized crime - even the Sopranos have a story thread going on one (the brokers are periodically beat when they hype too aggressively or resort to stealing cars)!

The SEC really should do more investigating and prosectuting of the white-collar criminals that perpetuate these scams, because what it really boils down to is civil fraud. In some cases, criminal fraud.
