Not only that, but when recovery commences these customers will have been acquiring the market share of their competitors, and will now bring them to whoever is servicing their own needs. I posted that comment in response to the TCM strategy of having oodles of bandwidth for whomever needs it, vs GX strategy of laying narrower pipes and getting them filled with the best accounts. Again, if a pronounced and extended global slowdown cannot be avoided, all companies with high debt will be in a difficult position, and this sort of business risk is a no-blame affair, IMO. That is a peril of being in business. Does anyone find it odd that LVLT was always the darling of them who write the News, yet now LVLT is the poster-child of over-extension into the incorrect market-niche? This may give a clue as to how much credibility to afford the News Writers such as TSC et.al. Mr. Leo Hindery was similar to James Crowe in this respect....they kept figuring that their Wall Street buddies could bail them out of anything....WCOM the same. Cash is King, not politics. I don't recollect *ever* seeing such a sparring amongst investment houses as we are seeing now...QUI BONO? Why are some trashing without differentiation? The question answers itself, I believe. Robert, forget the juveniles and their postings here, please; we have more meaningful pursuits. FWIW, over the past few years some of us know more about each other than what is on-screen. I happen to be more open about my activities than many, partly because I have been through worse nightmares than these markets. Robert has been very on-target in all of our backline dealings, although we do not agree on many topics. That is why I trust him, not because he likes root beer, and not because he is a knowledgeable investor. The reality of some of the posters here goes far deeper than profit or loss, some of you may need to gain some character to fully appreciate this thread. advalorem, your comments are possibly correct about a cheerleading thread, but do not judge the thread without greater knowledge of what we discuss. Bring something and we can discuss it. Unsubstantiated comments are just litter, and we appreciate a clean thread. You will too. Skepticism is healthy, this is a healthy thread. Martin Thomas
