All of the posts in this thread are by a person who is on my ignore list. :p "Intelabee", which is the insult word for an Intel investor on AMD threads (though I'm still trying to figure out why it is insulting) was found in thirty-two posts of this thread, and in at least eighty posts SI-wide (80 is apparently the SI cutoff for searches). "AthWiper", one of the two leading words which mock an AMD product, was found twenty-three times on this thread and at least eighty times total. Variations of "Sludgehumper" and "Sludgepumper" thirty-eight times on this thread. Unfortunately, looking for "AMDroid", the insult word for anybody stupid enough to even consider buying AMD stock, regardless of whether they like Intel or not (apparently), is really difficult, because it is usually compressed to "Droid" or "'Droid", which are too generic to properly search for, though I suspect that it has been uttered at least eighty times across SI. ^_^ This is stupid. Mocking names does not add to constructive conversation, and in fact it is the phenomenal majority of the time posted with the intent of provoking others to anger. I accuse both sides of being guilty of this act (though two people seem to almost exclusively stand out with this practice), and I fully support a bipartisan (w00t!) rule on this thread curtailing extended abuse of these product and technology names (eg, calling something ecch86 or PowerlessPC to show your distaste for certain ISAs shows a limited degree of intelligence and capacity for imagination, but after weeks of continual usage, it is merely a sign that the poster who uses it isn't actually interested in making peaceful and intellectual conversation). First Amendment, my ass! ;) ...if anything, preventing this particular form of annoyingness will force the more venemous posters to at least be more original and imaginative with their trollings. -JC
