Would you be able to work from home? That would solve some of your problems if you could. Sorry to hear that business has slowed down so much, but we saw it coming for a long time, didn't we? Greenspan should hang out on our threads for a year. He would know what the economy is doing in every part of the country, and every aspect of life. Didn't I call the bottom falling out of HD, and that came from talking to a couple of employees, ditto with the automobile manufactures and everyone related to supplying the parts. Housing sales had flattened and everything related, along with travel, corporate and leisure. People were dipping into college funds to make ends me, and then having to sell their houses for a loss to pay off bills. The high scale stores were forced into sales earlier and and deeper than ever before. Furnishing the dining room, was no longer a necessity, it was now put on a wish list along with a sprinkler system, and the privacy fence. New houses are looking like the end of skid row with little or no landscaping, which somehow fits the somber mood set by no curtains in the windows. The dreams of new home ownership from a few years ago has evaporated with the lay offs, closing of plants, the firing of one or both bread winners, and the inability to meet higher electric and gas bills. My only complaint is that Clinton isn't here to take the blame for everything he has brought on this country....If the Republicans roll over and play dead on this economy, they are the card board cut outs, I knew them to be...Lott at the head. {And here we thought this was Clinton's job!} I think what Clinton, Greenspan and the rest of their advisors did to this economy is inexcusable, and once again the press covered up big time for their sorry butts....now unfortunately, it is up to Bush to try and straighten this mess up, and turn the economy around. Look what a mess Reagan inherited from Carter, and how long it took to fix that disaster...Clinton stepped in just in time to reap all the benefits, and take all the bows, while stripping our military and raising taxes....Never trust a Democrat! Si is the slowest it has been in a year. They must be adding more ads....
