wow...that's an interesting view of history.... don't they mean JP Morgan "forced", through collusion and strong-arm tactics, the rest of the industry into consolidation?

Which likely is the true intent of the article.

Legacy companies are indeed going through difficult times. Consolidation is definitely coming - it can't come soon enough to suit me. But there is a major shift going on now - a passing of the baton, to next generation optical vendors. All we hear is the gloom and doom of the legacy companies, not the opportunity in optical that is still growing.
