From Prudential this morning:
_____________

Sound bite on Nortel. The company has not seen positive cash flow since 1997 with a loss in EPS in 13 of the last 14 qtr's. This is due to an increase in capacity as they bought into the massive demand thesis.

So though pro forma EPS showed a profit , they have actually had negative income growth. Income declined from $811m in 1997 to a loss of $3bn in 2000. This off peak revenues of $30bn.
