MCLD's CFO, Lyle Patrick says firm has an UNDERvalued stock...

public.wsj.com

<<McLeod's chief financial officer, Lyle Patrick, says the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, company has an undervalued stock, not overvalued assets. "We do not see asset-impairment write-downs coming at all," he says. McLeod shares stood at $3.50 on Friday, 85% off their 52-week high.>>

I tend to agree...I have made a nice profit on my MCLD investment since last Friday morning but intend to HOLD my MCLD quite a bit longer. IMHO, MCLD could have a nice run this week as we get the new FED Rate Cuts...=)

Best Regards,

Scott

Sorry to take so long to respond.. i seldom visit SI anymore. for thta matter I seldom visit Yahoo or Ragiing bull either.
Man it has been tough and I too have written a very direct message to The IR people at Mcleod. Mine was at least as blistering as yours.
That department has ALWAYS been the "weakest link" and will continue to be.
Its been really really tough to remain a long and in fact it has tirned out to be a mistake at this stage.
hell when it hit the 6s i was determined to not sell that low.. As it turns out I could have sold and bought back twice as many shares .
What can I say. my sources say they will make the estimates and may not change forward numbers...
i finid that hard to imagine when almost every other tech company is warning or missing and almost all smaller companies are pulliing back on all spending.
However , Steve says he is "looking forward" to disclosing the quarters numbers and it's hard to imagine him usiing those particular words unless he has it in the bag.
The real test will be what his guidence is.
I have been scooping up the JAN 2002 5s for between .50 and .70 and so have have 70 contracts.
I'd have a lot more but as you can imagine,, things are tight.
I have a bit more in reserve but very little and I am going to wait till the announce . if they go down I will buy more, if not ,, oh well.
