as for valuation decisions, as my examples showed, sometimes they can and sometimes they can't.

But at least some of your hypothetical examples were not of valuation decisions.

Rather than saying that valuation can be "part timing" it would be more accurate to say that some people may combine multiple factors in their decision making. That doesn't mean that the individual elements are any less distinct.
