I assume you looked at the NASA animation I linked last week. If you did, you could see with your own eyes that very little CO2 is being emitted by the US - and what little there was appears to have come mostly from a forest fire. China, however, emits quite a bit, and is not bound by the Kyoto accord. Same with Brazil and India. It's ludicrous. We've cleaned up our industry quite a bit - it's someone else's turn. Maybe Chinese goods wouldn't be so cheap if you guys had to meet the same standards we do already.

US industry became quite less competitive in the global market in the 1970's - at about the same time the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act went into effect - coincidence?
