It seems that the last GOP president to truly run the govt was Nixon, and we all know how he loved to spy on the other side. I guess you could say that Ford, Reagan, and the Bushes were yes men for the wealthy, oil lobby, and the military. Have you noticed how few GOP leaders have come out lauding Dubya on his return from Europe. They are starting to distance themselves because they see trouble ahead.
