You're ill-informed. There was an 800% price spike for Calif energy after Bush took office. To pass that along to consumers and businesses would have caused immediate panic. Now we have learned it was mostly a big trip-off scheme hatched in Texas. Now there will be at least some reimbursement. Calif has since brough down energy use by about 15% simply by shutting off what's not encessary. If the whole country did this we wouldn't need to drill off our most sensitive coastlines or in our wilderness areas. The only reason Bush/Cheney want to do that is to enrichen theire corporate fat cat donors. They know it will make little difference to supply and do nothing that conservation couldn't do without giving away this country's family jewels. You can't replace a dirtied eco-system but you can save energy in many ways. You can also replace a corrupt regime who has grabbed power by lying to our nation about their intentions. I recommend we all start getting to work doing that. Bush should be the last corrupt presuident we ever have. Start with passage of campaign finance reform to keep the pigs from the troughs and the foxes from the chicken coops.
