Hitler was a compromise - he promised to get businesses going again and full employment.

And considering Japan's economic plight, and imperial past, this is an area of concern in that nation. The desire for a strong leader to shake the people out of despair, and to reawaken the economy with forced infrastructure spending and centralized controls, can be compelling in times of depression.

Japan's excessive public debt, aging population, and likely forthcoming massive withdrawal of savings, creates a prime environment for authoritarian rule. Now all they need is an evil enemy to distract the people from their problems, and it could get real interesting.

China....anyone?

And it may be financial collapse (ultimately, anyway -- war first will GET their attention) which will lead to the unveiling of the next "great" leader -- only this time, he WILL control the entire world. I am still amazed how the masses ignore what is happening before their very eyes and continue to say the Bible is a fairy tale with so much confirmation right before them.

I remain,

O/T..Everything is "on topic, obliquely" .

Every day of the week "Monday, Tuesday, etc" is the anniversary of =some= germane event, why not trot them out as each day passes?

Point is, what purpose is served by noting the June 22, 1941 Nazi invasion of the USSR? And I did NOT mention Hitler, but you implied that I did. It illustrates how you confabulate from certain cues, merely to go on with what you wanted to mention, some how, some way, whether it helps explain events in 2001, or not.
