Many issues are capable of being turned into bloodbaths. All it takes is effective demagoguery and humans to listen to it.

Right. "Don't like abortion? Don't have one." "Don't like slavery? Don't own one." The only problem with those type of statements is, that it totally ignores the central question of the Humanity of the Slaves and the unborn.

If the fetus is a person then they are to be afforded at least the basic right to life, and it would be as wrong to kill them as it would be to kill any other person. This issue will not go away any more than Slavery would. It will undoubtably escalate until it reaches a point of violent confrontation. We learned nothing from the Civil War. You are wrong about the thirty years since R v W. The blood has not stopped being shed. It's just that the screams of the unborn are not heard. I understand that it is now standard procedure to administer pain relief for the unborn before they are killed by being torn to pieces or burned by chemicals. Isn't that special?

Abortion is the painful killing of an innocent human being. When that is understood, then abortion will be seen for what it truly is, MURDER!
