Well time will tell but I do know one thing and that is we shouldn't be so dependant on these politicians who have never lived in the real world should we ? They have been in Washington so long that they haven't a clue. Bill CLinton never had a job in his life and GW had a silver spoon in his mouth. Term limits would change America and get the corruption out of LA LA land. While you and I argue over ideals the fact is that nobody is truly happy with what goes on there. Are you happy that 90 cents on the dollar earmarked for food stamps goes to the bureaucrats ?

Do you understand that while everyone in the nation is cutting back government won't ? While corporations will reduce costs by 10 % and more each year the government will raise its expenses. They refused to cut less than 1/3 of 1 %. They don't have to reduce costs or even try to because we the public just send them more and more every year. There was no reduction in the growth of government in the last decade. At what point do you not realize that government will have grown so big that the economy will collapse just by the sheer weight and cost of government ?
Compromise, real compromise, is how do we help people without destroying the helpers in the process. We should be using computers and other technologies to reduce the costs of administering programs. When the government takes 90 cents on the dollar they are stealing food from the mouths of the poor. Since Lyndon Johnson declared his war on poverty all that has happened is trillions of dollars have passed from the working class to the bureaucrats . DO you believe that is right and just ? Notice I am not talking about reducing benefits and social programs. I am talking about getting our money to them effectively.

Dear AS: HELLO, what do you think Bush's tax cut is all about. And how about the Fed'l reserve dropping rates considerably and constantly? The USA is like a big aircraft carrier, takes a lot of room and time to turn it. Dont get so much in a hurry, take this opportunity to scoop up some nice stocks while they are down and just await the recovery. It will come, be patient. JDN
