Fyo, Re: [AMD disabling SSE] That's... uhmm... rather shocking. Maybe there are still licensing issues with Intel... If over time every motherboard "reactivates" SSE, AMD is technically not shipping CPUs with SSE support but it works anyway. Sounds stupid but maybe there's an Intel lawsuit looming. Or could there be another explanation for this? I'm waiting to hear if he responds to the feedback I sent him If you get any, please post it to the thread (or PM it to me if no-one else is interested). Let's see how Ed handles this...
