He needs to download mkw:
home.att.net

After go to the mkw folder and open mkwACT.exe,
then drag the .shn files into the mkw window. It places
the converted .shns back into the folder the shns came
from then deletes the .shns.

Thanks for the musical ad-vice----
and I will take it and get those two.....

I am stoked!!! See I always wanted to save real audio files to .wav and record-- well I can't figure out anything simple and a friend said he had good luck with Total Recorder:
highcriteria.com

So I download it and pays them their 12bucks and load it up- its easy and go back to sugarmeg.org and record Neil Young 76 as it plays...then record it to CDr with Roxio5.0 and I used the Realizer effect and it sounds beautiful....

now I can record those .ra audio files like that NY public radio station has that had the theramin music on--( I find the theramin fascinating to listen and may even get one -- someday)

now I'm gonna try Crusader Rabbit...6-10-01

I printed out the FAQ sheet for Total recorder cuz there is two different settings and since I aint the sound purist type I couldn't discern good from excellent--I just know that this first recording sounds great and was easy---
these may not be tradable according to the criteria set like a folks from etree.org (but I dont have a hi-speed connection- not yet)....but for personal use-- so far Great!
if I run into any problems I will let you all know--
different software and hardware configurations may have another effect-- the program doesnt say so-- but it always happens when something works great on one and not on the next.....
anyways gonna go back and play with this stuff cuz its raining cats and dogs outside

this computer I use is a 500 PIII 384 megs, 2 big hardrives and a cheap Creative SB live sound card and HP burner, 56K connection
