I hereby in all due respect invite you to continue your ballistics conversation via PM's. I for one am bored
and to add to my boredom, recognizing your right to free speech of course, must point out a glaring error
from a ballistic point of view. The MI Carbine cartridge was, is, and always will be, an anemic defense weapon,
an insulting deer rifle (from the deer's point of view, since he could get hurt and maimed and not killed). Furthermore the lever action is NOT a dangerous weapon in COMPETENT hands.
I think I just might speak for a lot of others who are more polite...please go private for gun chat, especially if you
are going to espouse nonsense. As a reloader of all the cartridges you speak of, and as someone who has used just about every cartridge out there for hunting in US shy of and including the 338 Winchester Magnum, I can
safely say, again from personal experience, nearly everything spouted so far is drivel. As an aside I must add
that any response other than cease and desist is simply to push the ignore option. Thank you very much for your
hoped for cooperation.

PS FWIW : I own/have owned and used in the field, Win '85. '94. Win Model 70 in 243, 270, 30-06, 308. 303 Enfield, Winchester Model 100 in 308, Remington 742 and 760 in 30-06, Browning BAR in 338, Marlin
1895 in 45/70...all adequate in good hands for right purpose, none perfect...and no, I do not nor ever will possess
or probably ever shoot a militarily significant firearm by modern standards. Just to bring my credentials
to light so that perhaps we can get back to gold, etc. :)

Doom & Gloom warning
ANTHRAX ON THE RISE IN SOUTH TEXAS. HUNTERS AND RANCHERS WARNED
Uvalde, Texas. AllSouthwest News Service has learned today that a major outbreak of the deadly disease Anthrax is underway in southwest Texas. More than 100 deer have been found dead with evidence of the disease and it is possible than hundreds more could be infected according to the Southwest Texas Veterinarian Medical Center.
Area ranchers are being urged to vaccinate their animals and burn any infected carcasses. Although Anthrax can been common in South Texas with a few cases reported each year, this is by far the largest outbreak in some time.

Humans can contract the disease although it is rare. Most strains can be treated with antibiotics and it is rarely fatal.

Anthrax has a notorious reputation and the inhalation strain has been used in biological weapons and warfare.

There has been no way to protect wildlife against Anthrax and researchers are worried that this outbreak could cause deer to be scarce during this falls hunting season.
