I still can not understand why TPTB at Qualcomm ignore it. [EDGE]

If it is true that European use is unlikely, and that only two carriers in the US and perhaps a handful in LA will implement it, perhaps it is not seen as a huge threat. Besides what can the TPTB really do about it, except trash it?
