The green types hereabouts might want to check out Tampering With Nature With John Stossel (Cloning and genetic engineering raise ethical questions). It's on tonight on ABC. Fox has been featuring a segment about how the parents of some of the kids who were interviewed for the piece withdrew permission to include the kids after they found out that the interviews were going to be used to show that kids were being brainwashed about the environment in school. Quite a dust-up.

I only caught one episode of the TV series - I know, I know, wasting my valuable cultural heritage but it conflicted with something else (pool team, I think...). I'll watch it one day. I have seen two stage adaptations - one of the whole trilogy, one which sort of mapped to Titus Alone but was rather experimental with 'flashbacks' all through (LOL, very confusing even if you knew the story).

OTOH, long ago I read the trilogy and a few works - Mr Pye was most enjoyable, as I recall, even for me the Gormenghast novels were a tad too weird and rambling... Admittedly I wasn't being so very precocious - Peake was one of the more famous Old Boys from my school, years back, so naturally the school library had full sets of his works :)
