The contribution of Afghan women to what? To the oppression of the Taleban? Are we coming down to the peculiar notion of wondering why Afghan women are complaining about oppression, when they contributed to it by raising Taleban sons?

The Taleban come from the frontier tribes, where superstition and violence have always been governing factors. The women complaining about oppression live mainly in the cities and towns, where the Taleban have imposed a rule that is worlds apart from the relative freedom that these women previously enjoyed. To these women, the Taleban are, in effect, an invading force. To blame these women for the terror being imposed on them is pretty lame.
