JDN,

I have known many combat veterans, but have never known any which enjoyed speaking of the hardships and sacrifices of war.

Invariably, when great Americans such as yourself share parts of that experience with others it is always to honor the character and heroism of someone they have loved or respected.

As I grow older, it becomes increasingly clear that the best among us are not determined by race, wealth, intellect, fame, or natural good looks.

The very best among us are defined by something far more meaningful.

Thank You and Best Always,
josh

Never in any post that I ever made here have I ever said anything against the brave men and women who have fought for our Country. I will however, continue to lambast the leaders of the Defense Dept and the Congress for the giant wasteful ricebowl they have created under the name of Defense. It is bloated, top heavy, has many wasteful weapon systems, takes way to long to field equipment, the equipment costs three times what it should, and we have many bases and facilities here in the states that are useless and duplicative
