Clayton Christensen as a member of DoCoMo's advisory board signed off on AWE's technology path? That would be a blatant corruption of his vision, and renders his 3G "maybe"'s down to meaningless. Nothing amazing in saying the applications and demand are key. Anyway, there's something in NTT's buying of American Symbols oddly reminiscent of Rockefeller Center.

Have you listened to this? He seems to feel Nokia is going the way of the buggy whip makers.

Very good, well worth listening to it. Covers many areas I am somewhat familiar with and seems to be "spot on".

Thanks for the link

Does Harvard professors get subsidised for pushing company
names??

Just like Hollywood producers??

- does Professor Christensen know how Newtons connected
to other computers, networks, even hooked up a regular modem,
or anything?? Where was the connector??

- does he know that middle managers are replaced with
access to data bases?? (same for their sexy secretaries)

- does he really know why students must have a mobile phone,
and when they reactivate their wired wall outlet??

- does he have any global telecommunication background?

- does he understand the meaning of a signed membership
at the gate to ITU??

- what's his thoughts on "enabling" technologies, not just
the vulgar darwinian and the middle management disrupting
thing??

- does he dance rock and roll (classic M.A.Numminen
question, besides this talking about what one cannot think
about, nor should talk nor think about)

- does he flirt using SMS messages, or while giving
classes?? (he claims some knowledge on japanese, teenage
girls, but not on data bases)

- Has he met Klemperer lately?? talking auctions, boom
and bust, disruptive poker, chess games??
("I don't know...,I just think it is a tradegy" is at
least intellectually, although not academically honest,
between Harvard and Oxford)

- has he ever talked to an honest DSP professor about
speach recognition?? Or an experienced assembly
coder in the field??

- Why does he talk like he didn't know anything about
the market outside US, wires and not, like scandinavia
and especially not in 3G-Japan, with very different
histories, markets and mechanisms??

- Has he tried to teach his grandmother to boot a
WinCrash, or use a GSM phone??

- Somehow I think I could bet he might punch out
SMS messages with one searching finger??

Ilmarinen

P.S. Does engineers and doctors in the Boston area still
wear white lab coats?? (personal experience)

P.P.S. Relistning: "then we can talk about the 3G investments"?? Can we??? With Klemperer??
