Yes I am sure. But, I have been sure in the past and been wrong. I believe that AMD was founded by Sanders ( a salesman type from Fairchild ) during the late sixties. inteL was founded one to several years later by engineers and scientists, also from Fairchild.

You are correct. Intel was founded in 1968 by Robert Noyes and Gordon Moore. AMD was founded in 1969 by Jerry Sanders.
