Enjoy the Q2 results - it should be the last profitable quarter for Intel for a long, long, time.

Sorry, but I beg to differ with this highly dubious prognostication.

1. IF Q2 is profitable, you'll need a microscope to notice.

2. Santa Claus is coming to town!

Andy Bryant says "seasonality" will kick in, and that means Q3 will be better than the last. But Craig Barrett says they're stuck in the "trough". Flatlined.

If they don't put their heads together and come up with a Cisco-style extraordinary writeoff real soon now, they'll have labored breathing for some time to come. But INTC ought to be able to make a nickel or two in the XP season (Q4), don't you think?
