Hi semi2000,

Re: I am glad you have high confidence in your own theory.

Aw shucks. Aside from making me sound like a Mikey Milkin imitator, I've got nothing to do with confidence. Games or otherwise. <bg> Naw, ya got me wrong, I'm highly confident of only one thing, the clouds in my crystal balls.

At that point you can tell us if the mania will continue or evaporate.

Well now, the mania is over. At least that much is clear. How many more bites at the apple the traders want to try to take is another matter altogether. But, you can rely on me. I'll spout off no matter what seems to be sliding down the rails into the BK pool plunge. Just love that First Amendment, don't you?

Nothing specific in your theory which concerns with AMCC in specific.

100% correct. Good observation. Probably better than this one I made over on the BRoadCruMb thread earlier today:

Inconclusive as all git out, I'd have to say.

Now about old economy companies are equally facing similar situation and its bad time for all.
I don't quite see it that way a'tall. In fact, I'm thinking about taking a position in a specialty retailer, Chicos, CHS-NYSE, based on the total enthusiasm of an acquaintance of mine who happens to be the manager of a new store here that just opened. Sold as much merchandise in six days as the plan called for selling in a month. That kinda caught my attention.....

Lemme just share some of my whizdumd by saying tech investing is a cyclical sport. We've just seen the mother of all tech markets. Methinks there's a pause of interminable duration about to beset the sector, but I could be wrong, if the tech companies can only produce something that people really lust after in their hearts. Is it 3G? No way, no one can even define it. Is is broadband? Not with the ILECs ascendant. Is it bio-tech? Well, there's a lot of froth in those test tubes, as far as I can see, and that's pretty cloudy stuff, if not downright murky. OK, at least turbid. When I see the first designer proteome drug get to FDA Stage III, then I'll believe at least some of the hype.

Gotta Run, Ray :)
