What street do you live on(sarcasm)? Don't get all bent out of shape. You said earlier that women here have to get jobs if they want a decent standard of living and I'm trying to find out what makes you think that. That's certainly not my experience, sez she who was supported by her husband for many years until she got cabin fever. And I'm still waiting for an answer to my question--what exactly is the point of this movement in Afghanistan for which all the people are willing to give up their ice cream. I don't think I've ever seen anything about what the Taliban and its supporters are trying to accomplish and why they needed to do something so drastic. From what's reported in the news, it looks like a bunch of unwashed troglodytes grabbing power and keeping their countrymen and women under their thumbs. If you have a more flattering explanation, I'd be interested in hearing it. Karen
