Rush loves crowds. He loves the spotlight. Why would he be "afraid" of a crowd of supporters??? Makes no sense, but then again, it was your post.

Well now Chris you really must admit that with no link to a news story or anything like it (preferably with Rush saying something like "I had no idea such a buncha wackos followed me. Scary!"), no one can with reason accept this story of yours.

You presented it as a fact, as if it had actually happened. But in fact, it was simply your opinion, a result of something you saw (ahem) on T.V. Rush may have gotten some bad news just prior to his appearance, or perhaps he felt ill and needed temporary assistance. Maybe he got the runs or something from eating too much cake. Whatever happened, we simply can’t tell the truth from a danged T.V. set! Were your story a matter of fact, it would have been hilarious, and I would have enjoyed it no end (Imagine it! Rush looking out at the crowd in horror, trembling as he mumbles a few words, practically running backstage afterward and saying to a reporter, “I had no idea so many wackos followed me. I’m giving up radio. Too wacky for me.” That would be really funny. But your story is not a matter of fact. It is just a story—simply your opinion garnered from a no doubt biased mind’s exposure to a T.V. event.

That just don't be cuttin' it, maaaan.

You have no credibility. I personally attended a rally at the Puallyup Fair Grounds last summer here in Washington State. It was a gathering of supporters for a Gubinatorial candidate, John Carlson and Rush Limbaugh was the guest speaker. He came out to a standing ovation ( I think the final tally of attendees was something around 25,000 people)It was packed. You never saw a more relaxed and together individual as Rush. He was calm and extremely well spoken and talked to us all for approx. 45 minutes.
There is NO WAY this guy was shy or afraid.

You are full of yourself.
