Whether or not there was actual illegal activity, the facts are they were holding stock in companies that they were dealing with. This is a violation of the ethics rules, strange behavior for members of an administration that pledged to be above even the appearance of ethical misconduct... Just out of curiosity, what was your viewpoint on the Electoral College when it appeared as if Dubya was going to win the popular vote, and Gore was going to win the Electoral College? An amazing number of conservatives "realized the wisdom of our founders" when the converse occurred after railing about the "antiquated" Electoral College...
