I wonder whether some will go back to their April lows. Look at NEM, for example. The 200 SMA is waiting for it at the April lows.

macd looks at trend momentum. the other side of the coin is the xau might be in oversold territory. (e.g. stochastic)

Hutch,

>>>> How can you say the XAU is a borderline Class ! BUY when the MACD is still in a stregthening downtrend? No to mention the strong downward momentum? Neither show sign of weaking or reverseing that trend <<<<

I have my system that is probably different than yours. No need to get nasty.

So you are SO sure that the XAU cannot bounce 1-3 points, or more once I get a CLASS 1 BUY. I have mentioned in the past that, when I was trading stocks that a CLASS 1 signal is normally good for a 1-3 point and possibly more move in a $50 stock, plus my CLASS 1 BUY signals are mainly to identify pivot points and do not really predict the size of the moves. I have probably stated that hundreds of times, since I have been posting since 1996. I even go into specifics on our website which is listed publicly and referred others in the past on several occasions.

So if you did not realise what my CLASS 1 signals really mean, then it could be fair to say that you just ASSUMED that it was something that it was not.

I have probably stated a thousand times that I play the short term moves, which could just be only a day or so, so you ASSUMED it meant more than that.

And from your less than polite comment "HOW CAN YOU say the XAU is a borderline Class ! BUY when the MACD is still in a stregthening downtrend", it sounds like that if one doesnt use your system/MACD it is suspect.

I dont recall saying that the XAU couldnt go lower, so is that another one of your ASSUMPTIONS.
