I would like to add that Korea has progressed pretty much as I anticipated, (and so is Tokyo). I do as you know, set my expectations based - in the end - on my own DD, although objective DD done by others on these threads is most helpful. I do have to chuckle a bit about Qualcomm & CDG trying to pass off what was implemented in Korea using the MSM5000 last fall as "3G". I mean you can fool some of the people some of the time .... << Does it give you pleasure to repeat that CDMA 1x in Korea was delayed? >> Yes. In this sense it does. There is a small cadre of individuals that wander over to this thread repeatedly, and inexplicably seem to be more concerned with what and how Nokia does things than the are with what and how Qualcomm does things ... and in that case I am absolutely delighted to share what I have learned through my own DD, and yes, I certainly do take pleasure out of it. So there you have it. A no and a yes. How is that for consistency? The case of the pots and the kettles. << This is an "official" statement by Nokia (China) which is titled "Meeting Commitments" ... So what were they, and what has happened? ... That has nothing whatsoever to do with whatever did or did not happen elsewhere. t stands, or in this case, falls, by itself. ... Either Nokia delivered on its commitments or not. And in this case, not on the objective evidence to date. >> Why don't you itemize what you think are commitments made by Nokia in that statement, and comment on which ones were not met. Perhaps you can track down the date and source of the article at the same time, so we can examine what if anything, has intervened. I gave it a fast read. And I commented. Now once again, let me ask you ... did you raise an eyebrow: 1. When the MSM5100 moved out? 2. When it sampled (at least) 4 months late, and Qualcomm refereed to the sampling on time. I did. And I did it on the Qualcomm Moderated thread, not the Nokia thread. ... and even though I understand pretty much why the chip slipped 4 months, it concerns me because it potentially impacts on Qualcomm's FY year earnings ... and I say that to you with my Qualcomm hat on, not my Nokia hat. << Either Nokia delivered on its commitments or not.>> You will find all you need to know about whether it did or did not, in the last Nokia conference call, or the upcoming one, or actually a combination of the two. The commitments made by any one of the 5 members of the Nokia senior management team to their shareholders are the ones that I concern myself with, as a new generation of product transitions. Same goes for Qualcomm. I do cut some slack, if I am able to comprehend why something slips, given the fact that we are in a generational shift. - Eric -
