I still haven't read Angela's Ashes. I don't suppose you would lend me Bill for a few nights? I'll supply the port.
You can come too. :)

Sometimes I find myself avoiding books that are reputed to be downers; they feel like medicine even though I usually wind up glad I read them. I leap at the Bridget and the Yayas and Sweet Potato Queens.
Damn- I feel as if I have deducted at least 50 points from my perceived IQ today with these admissions.

On our second date, Bill started to read to me "Angela's Ashes", complete
with Irish accent. It was late February and we'd tuck ourselves in bed with
glasses of Port and he'd read for hours each evening.

Hmmm -- a new side of Poet.

By the second date she was already tucking up in bed with the guy!

LOLOL!!
