Yet the fact is the democrat party derives the vast majority of its votes from low levels of education.

I've never understood staunch partisanship. Every election I struggle to pick and choose among candidates on an individual basis. Politics produce strange bedfellows, as they say. Even now that the parties are more lined up along liberal and conservative lines, there are still contradictions. How anyone can buy either party's entire platform boggles my mind.

I don't know how libertarians and social conservatives coexist in the GOP. Talk about antithetical! I don't know how the environment got to be a liberal issue. There's not an issue much more conservative than preservation and conservation of our natural heritage. Why was freedom of speech abandoned by the liberals? I never understood how big business and protectionism could coexist in the GOP, but it seems that protectionism has now been booted to the far left. And the extreme left fighting against progress in food production? The conservatives are supposed to be cautious.

I have to wonder about people who buy either party hook, line, and sinker.
