Not really. AMD still made money and that is not all that bad considering the climate. The fact that they waited so long for this "expected" warning is disturbing. If there was any stock sale over the past couple of weeks, there will be lawsuits galore.

I think on flash it will get worse; on CPU it will get slightly better.

I think it is important to keep things in perspective. We are in the mist of the worse semiconductor recession in history. AMD and Intel are in a fierce price wars, most semi's will lose money this quarter, and AMD is still profitable with a very strong balance sheet. I think on the CPU, this is as bad as the price wars gets. Both AMD and Intel are suffering greatly and will not push on this price wars. AMD has gone up a lot this year and will give a lot of that back tomorrow.
