Ali,

Re: "I think you need to read the spec again and comprehend that
the AGP-8 is an octal-pumped 66MHz 32-bit connection,
with means
533MHz data rate, times 4 bytes, = 2.1GBytes per second _peak_ bandwidth.
Which accidentally is equal to an ordinary 266-MHz single-channel DDRAM."

RELAX Ali ... All you have to do is say ... It's the "architecture thing".<ggg>

Make It So,
Yousef

Why don't you read this one, Ali -->

AMD Athlon Processor-Based Supercomputer Soars Into Top 500

"We are delighted that our PRESTO III cluster has become the first
AMD Athlon processor-based computer to make the Top 500 list,'' said
Dr. Satoshi Matsuoka, who led the PRESTO III supercomputer
initiative ... The Tokyo Institute of Technology's PRESTO III was
ranked No. 439.
"

Very impressive indeed, IMHO. Maybe next year they can break the top 400.

Make it so,

The only problem is sustained DDR bandwidth is only about 40% of theoretical 2.1 GBit/sec. So your logic dictates that DDR computers will need 2+ DDR memory channels on the chipset just to drive the video subsection optimally.

Feel better now.
