What are your personal goal in holding AMD?

His "30% market share" goal is just a ruse - he wants Intel's entire market share.

Possible but he will leave before reaching 30% and my guess is that it's a lot easier to maintain profitability at 30% market share than at 50% or 75%. But you need to be near 30% in order to compete and afford R&D cost.
