TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Taiwan's Iwill Corp. here has announced what the company claims is the world's fastest PC motherboard based on Intel Corp.'s Pentium III processor and 815EP B-Step chip set lines.

The new PC motherboard, dubbed the BD133U, is optimized to support the new 1- and 1.2-GHz versions of the Pentium III processor line. Optimized for Universal Socket 370 systems, the board also supports the 133-MHz front-side bus.

Iwill's product also features its so-called SuperAudio technology, which utilizes Sony/Philips Digital InterFace (SPDIF) to provide a digital audio interface in combination with 6-channel hardware sound capability. It also provides dual-channel Ultra ATA-100 support for 4 IDE devices.

It also includes 6- x 32-bit PCI slots. It also supports CNR and an AGP 4X port. Three memory-module slots support up to 512-MB of 100/133-MHz bus system memory.
