Re: They were expecting AMD to start paying back

AMD pays back the agreed upon amount on its loans each quarter, and has been doing so since Dresden officially opened.

You guys just can't get over the fact that AMD is has been doing a lot better than Intel recently, can you?

This situation may well be temporary, but the fact remains that AMD has been holding its own while bleeding Intel badly since it started this price war about 3 quarters ago.

The German Government is subsidizing AMD with their taxpayer's money. They were expecting AMD to start paying back. Obviously AMD cannot fulfill their expectation. It looks as if a major political embarrassment for the German Government can only be avoided by selling AMD to INTEL.
