What happened? Did I miss something? What the heck r u talking 'bout a conspiracy theory?

IMHO, whenever u start to blame somebody else for your problems... it is time to go... u have no one else, but yourself to blame for the position that u r in.

I frankly can't be bothered to click on your profile...even though it is but a mouse click away... but maybe you should read some threads & synthesize the information before u go off on a tangent & blame someone for your problems ...http://www.siliconinvestor.com/subject.aspx?subjectid=15208 (conspiracy made simple) LOL & more importantly... Subject 32953 GREAT THREAD!!! Hopefully u will just lurk.

Read this post...& maybe you will start to understand...http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=16007407

Peter

american spirit, you are completely whet here dood, the energy crises and rising oil prices were already in place before bush was even confirmed as the publican candy-date -g-

the rising oil prices were the reaction of the deflationery washout at the 98 bottom and the underinvestment, counturd with the worldwide rebound culminatin with 8% gdp growth in 4Q 99, the fear mongering your referring to at the top by bush, is not different than the fed hiking .5 after bond yields had topped and the nas crashed, that's topping sentiment dood, the govs are behind the curve, didn't you every hear close enuf for govt. work.

>>>When you transfer - how much? - half a trillion bucks into one sector's hands it tends to have a dampening effect on the rest of the economy.>>>

i sure hope you are talking about the trillions poured into internet companies that had paper napkin business plans by investors who thought they'd get an island domain like discover broker ad al the truck driver, i'm gonna sue them bastards, i still have this hole in the wall in pacoima -g-, nery a one island babe -g-

you are like traders who cloud there judgement of the indicators because of there current trading position, we all do it now an then, but you have bush blinders, bush has about as much to do with the markets and the economy as clinton did and that's NADA in both cases, bill gates, larry ellison, jack welch are all much more powerful american despots than any elected official.

No offense AS, but if you'd really like to know what drives the oil industry, SI does have a great thread - Strictly: Drilling and oil-field services.

Subject 12099

Go back to last summer and fall if you really want to see why the OSX index was topping out broadly, notwithstanding some short-term crude spikes. BTW, there were several refineries down for maintenance this spring which recently came back on line. Reality Check: none of your Bogeymen-in-Government are bigger than the markets.

As for the energy problems in the People's Republic, Bush was right to stay out of that. The people in the land of the Free Lunch cannot be saved from themselves. Let 'em live and learn.
