Ted, Re: they said on CNBC yesterday that the unemployment rate had increased 6 quarters in row and that the German economy is weakening I don't think CNBC is the best source for economy news on Germany. ;) This source is better: statistik-bund.de (it's an official Government site) As you can clearly see, every month of 2001 had a lower unemployment rate than the same month 2000. And since the beginning of the year '01 every month had a lower unemployment rate than the month before. It's clearly falling, although the pace has slowed due to an economic slowdown. Andreas
