If the part of the second amendment about well regulated militias were not closely tied to the right to bear arms it would have been given it's own sentence. It makes no gramatical or logical sense when picked into sentence fragments. A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed." Anyone who thinks these matters are not tied is ignorant of the English language at least. TP
