I don't believe in political correctness, in any shape or form. Change is the Reality of Life. I've said this countless times since I began posting on SI:

< exhort others to follow your beliefs>

Let's get something straight here valutrader: I don't "exhort" anyone to do anything whether it is on this thread or in life. I'm only interested in the dialogue, exchange of ideas. I have always urged people to think for themselves. Human dialogue is an occasion to stimulate thinking. Period. That's all I have to offer. I'm no Guru or financial service professional. I never respected that field enough to enter into it.

The stock market is a cold hearted business, valutrader, with no room for personal emotions or feelings. I was fortunate enough to pick the XAU bottom in October 2000. I wasn't letting all my profits slip away. The name of the game in the stock market is to profit. I'll leave the holistic conservative gold oriented value philosophies to others.

I'm still very bullish on gold longer term. It's just all those cash businesses in Euroland that I'm concerned about. Those businesses will continue to sell Euros and buy Dollars for Tax purposes till November/December 2001 before they return back to the Cash Euro in 2002 with a vengeance. For your sake, I hope I'm wrong. But I got plenty of ABX puts to hedge my HM/ABX equity position here.

VT,
If you want to be truly independent and successful trader rely on your not someone else picture.I admit Rare had few very good calls, doesn't mean one day he won't make a major mistake. Gold is the market that if you believe the bull is coming stay long, listen to economic datas, read what people post not only on this thread but dozen of others put it through the mind filter and paint you own picture. I have to defend Rarebird even as we are not friends, he stopped publish his moves as he faced critisism from lots on this thread. I still don't know why as his calls were almost perfect. If you are not confident enough ask him maybe he'll start to send you PM., but never blame him if sometimes you take a loss.

All the best
Marek

<Rarebird, I just removed your post #69558 from the wall above my computer.>

Valuboy, IMO, you should not be placing my posts or anybody else's on the wall of your computer. You should be thinking and analyzing these markets for yourself.

Personally, I don't give a flying hoot whether you put me on ignore or on the wall of your computer. I don't care what you think about me personally. The medium in which we post our thoughts here on GPM is abstract in the sense that we are faceless to one another.

So, cut the personal crap and just post your bullish or bearish thoughts.

I only care about your ideas.
