You repoboys are clueless and thick skinned when it comes to helping the poor, indigent and sick in this country. Humanitarianism is not just for philanthropists.

One can agree that the elderly poor have a hard life. Since blacks die at an earlier age than whites letting them own part of their social security contributions would provide this group with assets that could be passed on to survivors. I am sure you are not proposing that the poor be made even poorer by having young workers pay even more taxes to fund prescription payments for the 90% of the elderly that are not poor. I am elderly, and I do not think any young person should be taxed one extra dime to pay for my health care, when on an asset basis, I own far more than those that would be taxed do.

But the issue is a great way to buy votes. Sure sounds good. Makes anyone that opposes the idea seem heartless and mean. Keep up the good work. What is needed are more issues to scare people and keep them from thinking.

Prescription health benefits, as presented, would not only be extended to the poor. Your figures have no relevance in the argument.

Everything is done better for the elderly in every other country! When are we going to wake up and copy those who know how to do things so much better than we do?
