I think it would be extremely difficult to pan in streams in Scotland. Most are privately owned, you have to pay big money just to fish in 'em for Christ sake! God knows what they would want for panning gold. Seen the jpg of the "panners" once before...maybe it was a link provided by your or Rich? Best wayne
